Please bare with me. I need to share. I am 120 pounds overweight. I have an injury to my left foot, wrist/hand. The dr wants me to be completely off my my foot but it is impossible to do. I had a total knee replacement and cannot Neil on my knee to use the knee scooter. The pain is almost intolerable. I am trying to use the crutches that they gave me but it causes too much pain in my hand wrist area. They still do not know what is wrong with my foot because the insurance company has yet to approve an MRI. I do know it’s not fractured or broken. It’s been nine weeks and the pain is only getting worse. I prayed that I would be healed but the Lord hasn’t chosen to heal me yet. It doesn’t help that I am having a full body fibromyalgia flareup. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a good night!
I recently shattered my tibia bone in my ankle and had to have 12 screws placed in my foot. They told me I wouldn’t have proper use of it unless I put absolutely no weight on it for 3 to 4 months. I feel your pain as I too couldn’t use a scooter. I was already by definition obese and I knew I’d gain more weight which I did but in order to heal a wheelchair was my saving grace. I highly recommend you ask your doctor to prescribe one.
I am kinda in the same boat. I am 150lbs over weight and I have to have double knee replacement but cant until I lose 60lbs. Its hard to lose the weight when I cant hardly walk or exercise.
I hope you get feeling better. You are in my prayers.
thank you for your prayers. I will pray for you too. I had a knee replacement in 2017. I was a lot thinner then. I understand them wanting you to lose weight. I had to as well. I ended up having the bariatric sleeve and lost 100 pounds. I have gained all of it back and some. I’m very frustrated because I keep gaining from being inactive.
I have been where you are. I broke my leg in 2019 & had to have screws put in my ankle so it would heal. However I also have cerebral palsy and I am about 50 lb overweight. So I could not use crutches or one of those Walkers you were talking about. The wheelchair was my only saving grace. Is that a possibility for you? Please feel free to instant message me if you want to talk. I am still dealing with learning how to walk again. As well as losing weight. I am finally back to using a walker at home but not in public. It is difficult. Again please private message me if you want to talk. I am praying for you.🙏🤗
