I think I have ADHD but I'm worried my parents will judge me or laugh at me for wanting to get tested. I really want to get treatment for it, but I don't have enough money.

I personally took a few online ADHD tests before I went to get tested. So even if you take those tests and get scored as someone with adhd, try even mentioning it to see how they react. Thats how I did it.

@CrystalWiccan Also if you're 18+ and just on your parents insurance, normally insurance covers those tests.

One suggestion is to do your research and develop skills that help you manage your symptoms. Open communication with your parents about your concerns can also be helpful. If you're above 18, you could consider getting tested online, but it might be costly. You can also try talking to your primary care physician about your concerns and see if they can refer you to a specialist for diagnosis.
