Are you addressing your kyphosis and scoliosis with exercise and stretching or have you looked into surgery?

I have started working out, dancing. Lost about 40 pounds to help ease some of the pain.

@pixie79 I thought so too. I even got suggested opioids as a potential treatment, which we all know damn well isn't gonna help fix it. But bug the hell out of your GP and try to get help! Because they won't care if they think you can tolerate it, in my experience. Some doctors are good and try to catch conditions before they get worse, and others will wait around until it does. Don't let that happen! Take care šŸ’•

None of the above. No one has suggested anything. I take it they donā€™t care.

Since I have finished growing I really havenā€™t seen a specialist about it. Mine isnā€™t bad enough to fall under surgery and it is so high up on my back my doctor didnā€™t want to have a brace. I do a good bit of stretching anytime I feel the pain, but really I just deal with it.

I might make an appointment with a chiropractor in order to get some more input. I donā€™t think it would hurt, for sure.

Thatā€™s great to hear. I just got done learning some PT exercises and stretches from Airosti. I have been doing ok with them but need to keep them up daily. Itā€™s a struggle but when I do them regularly the pain is so much less.

Exercise and stretching. I have two family members who do not respond well to anesthetics, so I don't want to go under. It's a struggle but I'm lucky I was already very into yoga, pilates and fitness before the onset of my kyphosis. I've been able to manage well enough, but sometimes it is rough. Mostly when life gets in the way of me taking care of my mind and body, and I go without proper self care for weeks at a time. Stay on your routines!! Learn from my mistakes šŸ˜…
