I have had 7 epidural steroid injections. none of them worked, they only caused my migraines to get worse. what are your experiences with them?

I also have degenerative disc disease. Severe in some places. My Drs haven't suggested much at all. I have 2 do my own research and tell them what 2 do usually. Really sad. I don't get 2c my neuro much but I'll b coming this apt w my research and ideas. Also having issues w my bladder and renal. Pretty sure it's ALL connected. Urologist said hypermobile bladder, now I'm wondering about POTS and EDS. Wud make a lot of sense.

So I had another apt w my shot Dr. I only had 1 epidural in spine. He was not thrilled w the reaction I had for 3 days after the shot. He says it's not supposed 2 hurt worse like that. He's refusing anymore shots. He's referring me back 2 the neurologist. Thankfully I have an apt this month and will ask for a neurosurgeon. This Dr is having issues w my Fibro and back, he said he's not sure if it's Fibro pain or just from back. I KNOW it's not Fibro. Pain meds don't help Fibro, when I double my pain meds the back stops. When I'm overdoing it my hip acts up, back is connected 2 hip pain. The meds stop it. But I don't want 2 take that much pain meds ALL THE TIME. I'm so surprised u have had that many shots and they still keep giving them. Now I'm recommending possibly a new Dr. Sounds like it's causing u more issues than it's worth.

@Jlync80 that's the current pain I'm having now. The back to hip they have decided it is due to degenerative disk disease. And of course my chronic nerve damage. I'm getting my stimulator removed maybe one would help you. I say do the trial if the doc suggest it.

Try caffeine it's crazy but sometimes it helps headaches and migraine. I get migraine from time to time too.

@MaryC 😂😂 Tylenol NEVER works for me. I cud still take my loritab and that has plenty of Tylenol. Never works for the headaches.

Oh no! I just got my 1st 1 yesterday. Said it'll take a few days 2 kick in. RN it's dire that I need it 2 work. Pain killers aren't helping. I have a list of back issues but spinal stenosis is the 1st 1 they wanna work on. So worried it's not gonna help. Was about 2 post about everyone's experience w it and a list of my issues and what works for others. Stay tuned! 😁

None 0f then worked on either. I've heard that alot from people I've talked too. Even the ones I get in my knees don't last much.

I've been getting them for years. It was horrible for my migraines also. I talked about it with my Dr and now I drink a lot of caffeine that day and it has really helped with it.
