can you guys on this page lesve if you’re not actually diagnosed with autism from a medical practitioner. it’s really frustrating to see people use what’s wrong with me to get sympathy when other people who are actually struggling get thrown out of places made fun of and beaten sometimes for being the way we are. thanks
me too my parents either ignored it completely or blamed it for them getting divorced. it just annoys me when i see people romanticizing the symptoms of autism when many people have real life struggles with it
I agree with you that pretending to be autistic for attention is really bad and shouldn’t be done. But getting a formal diagnosis isn’t accessible to everyone. People should be able to seek community and support if they are struggling with possibly being autistic. I’m sorry you went through that trauma.
yeah i’m not saying formal diagnosis but at least assurance from somebody who’s clinically advised and even then you shouldn’t consider yourself to have ASD but i wouldn’t care if you call yourself autistic since you’re still experiencing symptoms of it
