my doc has exhausted every possibility in an attempt to diagnose my tremors. even tested for syphilis. all labs came back at optimal levels. all scans are normal. and my tremors only seem to be getting worse. even causing facial muscle, arm muscle, and neck and chest muscle jerks. does anyone have any suggestions? i can't afford naturopathy, and i really can't afford any major diet changes.

I was real young when I got diagnosed with my tremors. I take Propranolol 60mg 3x a day. The only reason we figured out what my tremors were was because I was also diagnosed with Triple X Syndrome or Trisomy X at the same time, I had to go to the capital of the state to get tested. I was told there are 2 different kinds of the tremors; Essential and Familiar. I do not remember the difference, I can only tell you about mine (Essential). Mine is not degenerative, as far as I know I've had it all my life. It gets worse with caffeine, when I'm scared or anxious, when I haven't eaten, when I'm sick; it prevents me from doing a lot of high demanding jobs in my area or like carrying any open container with liquid. The propranolol slows it but doesn't completely stop it, I've tried marijuana and CBD neither worked for, but I did have a customer, who happened to be a surgeon, tell me that a shot of red wine before bed and when you wake up will help, except I'm not a big fan of wine. But I'm 25, I have a baby at home, I promise I'm not a drunk, but every time the boyfriend and I have a night to ourselves, we typically go out and every time I get drunk, the alcohol almost stops my shake. So if you haven't been tested, ask your Doc about Trisomy X and Essential and Familiar Tremors.

My neurologist just told me about fnd. Which is functional neurologic disorder. He said it was kinda new but I would need to go to a psychologist for it to be confirmed. The way he explained it to me is that it is like a software problem instead of a hardware problem. Hope this helps.

I have these tremors that aren’t diagnosed either. For last 4+ years certain movements like rotating my wrist slowly or or angling my wrist up and down is accompanied with a fast rate low intensity tremor. It happens in my legs, arms, and facial muscles. Its not a resting tremor but also doesn’t perfectly fit into the essential tremor. All I know is when my anxiety is bad it gets much worse. It’s gives me a lot of fear.

I know how you feel. I have tremors that are not diagnosed. My neurologist says he know thinks mine are fnd(functional neurological disorder). He said that with fnd when you have anxiety it makes it worse. That I need to see a psychologist to get it diagnosed. Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Yes he was a movement neurologist. My issue is that it is a resting tremor but I am early in whatever this is that they can not pin point it.
