Hello! I'm pretty sure I've been living with undiagnosed ADHD since elementary school. I've been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and ptsd, but a lot of my symptoms just don't match up. I would like to finally start the conversation of getting diagnosed, but I've had absolutely terrible experiences with the mental health care system and I really dread every single part of it. My question is do you think it would be worth it to try and get a diagnosis and start medication? How much has medication helped you?

Anxiety (Including GAD)

Depression

Attention-Deficit Disorder

I mean the medication part helps, and also in some cases makes things worse, like for me I had a medication that screwed my thought process up and made me suicidal so I'd be careful of the meds, thats if you need them desperately, though for the diagnosis I'd say yes and I know mental care can be a p.I.t.a but it all works or in the end for the most part 😊👍

I self medicate, but that's definitely not the route for everyone bc it's highly addictive if u don't watch how much u use. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 6 and was medicated till I was 12, and whole it was very helpful if I didn't think about it, I couldn't stand the freedom loss. It really depends on the person. I would at least give it a shot
