Does anyone suffer from seborrheic eczema on the scalp and ears? It’s driving me absolutely crazy and I can’t shower or sleep without pain. I was told to use zinc shampoo and clobetosol but it’s not that effective for me. Thank you 🥲🥲🥲

Hi! I recommend seeing a dermatologist to see how bad things are and maybe give you a prescription drug that can work faster..

I had this problem too. I went on Dupixent and my eczema has cleared mostly. I also got antibiotic ear drops with a topical steroid and that helped it immensely. For my scalp I would use ketoconazole shampoo prescribed by my dermatologist. I used a silicone scalp brush to make sure the product set in.

do you find that the Dupixant shot hurts pretty bad, like a full on wasp sting? Am I doing it wrong?

for my first Dupixent dosage when I had to have two injections on the same day, I chose to inject around my belly button and also my thigh. When I injected my belly, it honestly didn't hurt that much, and I also don't have that much fat in that area. But for the thigh injection, I missed the targeted area by a few inches and injected into a more muscle-y area, which definitely hurt like you said. I only inject in my stomach now since I only have to take one dosage every two weeks. I also use the auto -injectors. It might help your pain to have a pack of ice on the injection site for 20 mins before you inject, which will help numb the area. You can also aim for a more fatty area on your body that will better handle being pierced.

I don’t have the same type of eczema that you do, but I have been on Dupixent for just over a year now and my eczema has improved tremendously! I’m not sure if it would be the right treatment type for you but maybe you could look into it.

It’s not too bad - it doesn’t feel great tho 😅. For me it like stings initially and then feels a little worse as the medicine is going into my body. I have to get someone else to give it to me because I still am not able to do it myself. I have like a needle phobia so it took me a long time before I could stay calm when someone was given it to me. I’ve only done it in my thighs so I don’t know what it’s like anywhere else on my body at least. I fcking hate it every time but my skin looks really great so I put up with it. I take it every other week
