Does anyone ever get so anxious that literally every new text is like an added weight in your life? I mean I’m sitting on more than 20 unread texts in my messages (for about a week) because I can’t deal with them right now.

Yes! I am horrible at texting and will not respond to people. I feel bad but do not know what to say or have the energy to be social. It is ok, most people will usually understand if you let them know that you struggle with that. Even responding a few days later is fine too.

I'm the same way. I don't answer texts, emails or calls and you can tell when I am manic cuz I post on fb which is only maybe a week and a half of manic days for every two months of depression

definitely!! i always feel like i might say the wrong thing and think maybe they don’t even care to talk to me. i also feel really guilt cause ik by not communicating i’m only distancing myself away from the people i really care about, which makes me even sadder :(

It is okay to feel overwhelmed. It is okay to step away. It is okay to put yourself and your health first. So often we feel the need to apologize or make amends or have guilt. The hardest part is the standards we hold ourselves to. But if we can learn to listen to what our body is telling us it needs and let go of that guilt, we can become a lot more balanced. We don't owe it to anyone to be available 24/7.
