What has your journey to Endo /Adenomyosis relief? I had to stop taking Loloeferin early and my gyno seems disappointed in me. My periods have only gotten worse and i’ve barley been able to eat or leave my bed. Im feeling hopeless at the moment. I want a full hysterectomy if that means I can finally have relief.

@Heatherbee I use tranexamic acid and its wonderful. Towards the end if I'm fed up of the bleeding and its lightening up I can even stop it entirely by taking the full dosage and restarting my contraceptive. On the heavy days where I'm usually called into hospital with the amount of blood I'm losing, the tranexamic gives me what I imagine would be a normal/slightly heavy flow for women without period difficulties. It definitely makes things a lot more manageable in terms of flow which I find means I'm not as exhausted.

Had a gynecologist who got weirdly angry at me when I had to stop taking LoLo, too. She told me my only choices were "either take the pills or be in pain" 🙄 and wouldn't offer me any other kind of help. Basically didn't want to see me anymore unless I kept taking those pills. I was in the same boat as your with the worsening periods, hopelessness, and being unable to get out of bed or eat. Personally the Depo shot worked for me once I found a different doctor who offered it to me. I've been on it a few years already with no problems or side effects even though I was expecting the worst thanks to bad experiences with other stuff I'd tried before. It doesn't work for everyone but weirdly enough it works great for me and I love not having to deal with those terrible periods I was going through before.

Excision for my endo was the best thing. Hysto will cure adeno, but has no impact on endo, so just be prepared to add excision to that hysto for proper treatment 🙂

I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis about 4 months ago. Was put on Tranexamic acid for 5 days, then put on Primolut N for 21 days after that. Bleeding stopped while on the tablets but started again as soon as i stopped. Now have the Mirena inserted. Unfortunately, the cramping and bleeding is still happening. Have been told to take the primolut N again for the next 3 months doing 21 days on and 7 off each time. If this doesn't work they have said a hysterectomy is the next step

i’m in the same boat! I stopped taking my birth control because of the disastrous effects it had on my gut and mental health. i’m currently on tranexemic acid to reduce my bleeding due to suspected adenomyosis and i’ve been on it for about three months now and i have finally noticed a change in my cramping!! i still have chronic pain but my debilitating pain days are more tolerable than before (i can finally eat and move around a little bit on those days) DO NOT feel bad for not taking birth control. this is your health journey and you are allowed to choose your path. wishing you all the best and hope you can find some relief❤️

@sunshine238 I have adenomyosis, and I tried an IUD but it worsened my mental health, so I had it removed. Does the tranexemic acid do a good job of reducing bleeding? Oddly I don't actually get much cramping but I bleed heavily.

I'm sorry you're struggling and dealing with this pain that is not only physically but also mentally draining. Is your doctor resistant to a hysterectomy because of your age or potential desire for children? If not, what reason do they give?

@Raquel226 She wants me to try birth control for longer. I was on nexplanon for the full 3 years and was only aboe to do a month of loloestrin. Even with my insurance loloestrin is $150 for 3 months. So even if i took the full 3 months i can’t afford a regular prescription. I have an appointment to discuss further treatments. Im just tired of feeling like im the villian for not being able to handle birth control.
