I battle anxiety/pcos and I wish their was somebody that I knew to talk about this that goes through the same thing. My dad left us making it hard for me to cope with life and mental challenges that I had. Pray I could be normal again and have everything where it was but better. Don't want to see a psychiatrist because they try to get in your head and it just feels weird to see one.

Omg I also have those 2 conditions! I do have to say I agree with the other person that replied to this; therapy and psychiatry are very helpful.

I'm a child of divorce due to my dad not being around, I also struggle with anxiety and question if I have PCOS. If you would like to talk toe since we have some of the same experiences, feel free to :)
@Jericho i question if I have it to because I have all of the symptoms the doctors just keep misdiagnosing and act like they don't care
@raccoon_luver2 I'm a Trans man and worry about going for a diagnosis because of misgendering and dysphoria, but I have all the symptoms and a family history.
Feel you on this!!! My therapist of two years retired a month ago and since then I’ve felt very alone having severe anxiety with not really anyone around me who can relate similarly. I highly recommend trying out a therapist. It can be hard to find a good match especially if you don’t give them at least 2 trial sessions because therapists are people who need to connect to you, it’s a form of relationship and like all others they develop over time.
@Venni3 i understand the part of feeling alone. I am blessed in that I have a very supportive spouse and family, AND counselor! But even then, the fact of the matter is that the feeling of aloneness can come FROM the very fight or flight response that happens with anxiety disorders. Sometime people who don’t have these kinds of disorders cannot relate or understand that. But don’t be hard on your self and always remember You are NOT alone. It’s just unfortunately a struggle that a lot of people try to do alone. Instead of speaking up and out.
I think you have it wrong about psychiatrist. They just prescribe medicine. They don't even discuss your mood/feelings. I do a short survey at the beginning of my visit to tell them how I'm feeling and what's changed and then the psychiatrist comes in and discusses med options. Then I'm done. My dr does not talk about my mood or feelings like a therapist would they just talk about meds.
@Lucilou I just don't have the time to see one because my mom works. Theirs just no ride for me and we're busy
@raccoon_luver2 my psychiatrist does the visits virtually. You can look into that. :)
