So I am concerned about the new PTSD diagnosis and what it means for me. But my greater concerns are managing my anxiety and ADHD. I was originally diagnosed with ADD as a kid and recently sought to get tested again, and was re-diagnosed with ADHD inattentive type. I'm having a hard time managing my anxiety so that I can try meds for the ADHD.

First and foremost, you're gonna be okay! A new diagnosis isn't going to change who you are, you've had it this whole time! I have PTSD and ADHD as well, and I manage fine, with some meds help. Meds are the biggest help by far, and will help you the most, but you have to find the right ones and stick it out while you do. You can coexsist with anxiety, even when it's really bad. Talk to yourself softly and gently. It's okay to be scared, it's okay to feel like you're overwhelmed. You're going to be okay, I promise. Even when the anxiety is freezing you, or making you look over your shoulders, you'll be okay. You can try pushing your bare feet into the floor, holding your breath for 4 seconds and letting it out slowly, eating some ice...there are so many ways to occupy your brain! I'm personally on Gabapentin to keep mine more tolerable, but I kinda don't like it. Buspar is another good med, but talk with your doctor about it! Meds make all the difference and working with yourself internally helps even more. While anxiety is a constant battle, you will not always be at war. Remember to breathe, love yourself and give yourself time. You'll get it!

I wouldn't be the best bet for anything related to anxiety. I'm forever anxious. I'm just completely used to it frankly. PCOS... I've been dealing with it for years and years. Ask away if you've any questions in regards with it
