why do our bodies retaliate against us so much?? Yesterday I was feeling good for the first time in a month. All I did was mop floors. Granted it took me 3 hrs to do upstairs and downstairs and took several breaks. Today I am paying for it big time. My entire body, including my hands, hurts so much that I can hardly move.

      @Raquel226 I'm slowly learning how to adapt what needs to be done to how my body will allow it to be done. It's definitely a process.

      You have to learn what your body is capable without going too far, and then respect that boundary. I have multiple back issues as well and that means other than Swiffering I can't clean my floors. The motion of mopping and vacuuming are too disabling. I can't do other things like wash dishes, so I had to pivot and figure out alternatives. I know it's hard, but if your body won't change you have to. I've only just recently made these changes, but it's working. Good luck!

      Hi, Sorry to hear that, I've never had it happen that extensively, but I know what you mean. My 3 respiratory issue, 2 lung, 1 sinus, cause me to have to stop on any significant exertion, yeah, it's about as annoying as anything could be

        @RobertRees It definitely is annoying.

      I understand completely. A lot of days I can't even think about housework. It's eat or shower. I tend to overdo a lot. It adds to the trauma that the body carries. That's why it sets off flare-ups. Take care and take it easy. Sending hugs and good wishes.

        @faerywyrm I know the struggle of deciding which to do each day. Do I drive to the store and shop or do I cook dinner tonight? If I take a shower, nothing else but dinner gets done. It's a juggling act.

      You never think little tasks affect your body so greatly. I understand how you feel. Sweeping or vacuuming is a lot for me. It sounds bad, however it's due to our conditions. Keep pushing and do what you can do.

      šŸ˜„ you do the same thing I do when I feel like I'm human... Clean, do home projects, run errands. And the next day my body screams at me "WTF have you done?!"

        @Lumpy22 yep... every time.

      I feel the same way so many days. šŸ˜„ I just have to keep telling myself doing a little of something is better than doing nothing at all. So I don't overdue it, cause when I do I pay for it the next day, actually right when I stop and sit

        @jamie325 yesterday I pretty much refused to sit until dinner was done because I knew that as soon as I did sit I was not getting back up.
