So I keep forgetting to take my birth control and anxiety/depression meds, does anyone have a trick to help remember? I've tried setting a timer but my schedule is just too chaotic, half the time I'm not home when it goes off.

Put the pills on your nightstand (if you don't have little children run around) and when you finally go to bed lay them on your phone!!!

Apps and alarms never worked for me. I have those weekly pill cases which i keep on a vanity in my room which I always sit at when getting ready. I know when I've taken it because I leave that day's box open. I think you can get travel ones you could keep on you? I also have an Alexa which I sometimes use to remind me to take my meds but the box has done the job.

I have an app called habitica that has a daily to do list you can make, and I put my morning and night meds, and I just check it off when it's done. I also keep my meds in a weekly organizer by my toothbrush so I can visually see if I've forgotten or not

always carry some with you and have another person try to remind you every so often until you take it

i'm really bad at remembering to take all my meds too, so usually i have them out on my bedside table next to where i leave my phone so i'm forced to see them and remember, but the most helpful thing lately i've found is having the medications widget on my lockscreen because even if i'm not due to take them for hours every time i look at my phone it's there as a reminder so taking my meds is usually already in my head by the time the reminder comes. i usually keep a strip of the meds i take at awkward times in my coat pocket or bag at all times so i can take them when i'm not home

@lemonmoon is the medications widget through an app? or does it come already with apple?

@chloeg783 it's on ios already, if you click on the health app when choosing a widget to add it'll be in the options you can pick. if you don't use apple, maybe there's an equivalent on android too? or maybe an app that does the same thing. it's definitely helped me a lot lately when nothing else really worked

i like to put my medication bottle on top of something i never leave the house without. i'll put my meds on top of my keys so i physically have to hold the meds and take them before leaving.

@pixelpup That is a really good idea! I have adhd and one of my worst symptoms is that i have an awful memory! this might actually really help me to remember!

Can you take them when you do something else that you do everyday? Like brushing your teeth? Brush your teeth, take your meds. I also set an alarm for my mid-day medications, I carry a few extra in my bag at all times in case I'm not at home.
