I hate alcohol. It summons my inner demons. Guess thats why they call them spirits.

That's a great idea! Use any support system to reach out, it's best to get it out and get support instead of re-digging up the hole 😊

@AsylumAmethyst hey, it’s a nice thing to say but it looks like you’re copy pasting same reply to everyone no matter what they say!

Hi! I've recently quit drinking hard alcohol. It's really hard for me. I've been drinking since I was 14, I'm 41 now. All my life I've surrounded myself with people just like me. I remarried 8 years ago and he's not a big drinker and doesn't think "drunk me" is very fun. He hates it. I've never been told anything like that. A couple months ago I went out with a friend and was hungover for 3 days so I decided to stop. Just the hard stuff. The hard stuff makes me want more and more and more. So I switched to wine amd seltzers but I'm still looking for that "buzz" I can't find it anymore and it's actually making me feel sad. I know that's not normal. I feel great otherwise, my mood has changed drastically but I can't shake the feeling that I "lost a friend"

@PugLove ugh, I sincerely wish this will be the end of that “lost a ‘friend’ crap and the end of your ‘brush’ with alcoholism and you don’t have to endure the endless torture that is most likely ahead of you.. I also really hope it just ‘clicks’ and you’re able to stop, join ‘reality’ as crappy as it can be but also how beautiful without being wasted. Facing whatever ‘inner demon’ you’re stuffing, drowning, ….if that’s the case? Take ‘our’ word for it. Save yourself and enjoy every minute of every day whenever possible… good luck!!😉👍🏼✌🏽❤️

You may be desperate enough for change that even the most ridiculous change (not suggesting that this one is) could very well keep you sober long enough to add new behaviors, building your spiritual armor against your addiction. No matter fucking what, just don't pick up. That way it can not get in your mouth! Also, getting angry at the d.o.c. is where you're at. Be kind to yourself.

That’s a really good thing to do. Drinking is stinky and lame
