What do you do for work? Do your conditions make it hard for you to maintain a full time job? Curious to hear others experiences and what has worked for them.
Bipolar 2 disorder
I'm a CNA and I've been one for 15 years. I e also worked as a direct support professional. My conditions sometimes interfere with work but I try not to let it.
I don't work. I'm on disability because of my conditions.
I'm a CNA (certified nursing assistant).
right now I'm not working though because I had surgery ony shoulder a week ago yesterday.
I'm working part time. There's no way I could work full time, but I don't know that my bipolar 2 has anything to do with it. (It's moreso my sleep disorder and chronic pain.)
On my hypomanic days, work is a breeze. On my depressed days is where I struggle to stay consistent with any 9-5.
mm, I think it's hard to tell my depressed days from my hypersomnolence days, they're so entwined. Now that I think about it, I experience a lot of despair at work though.
Hypomania messes with my work some but mostly via keeping me up all night on work nights.
I'm currently a full time student pursuing a career in classical music performance. It's super demanding and ive recently been worried that it could turn out to be too much for me to handle.
I'm a dispatcher for a transportation company, but I only work part time because I'm also on social security disability.
Self employed I babysit and do lawn care/ construction. I do doordash and instacart also. I work when I can.
I do the same exact things! Doordash, instacart, spark delivery and babysitting part time. 😊
