I was just prescribed Modafinil to help with my TBI fatigue. I’m honestly super worried about it and never get much info from my doctor before starting a new medication. Does anyone here have experience with it (and a willingness to share their honest experience)?
I did finally take it and, much like the commenter below, it put my anxiety on hyperdrive. I also felt like I had no control over what I was doing—if I tried to sit down for even 5 minutes I would get palpitations that wouldn’t stop unless I started moving around again. Literally to the point I had to to jumping jacks.
One weird thing that happened for me is that it actually made me pretty sleepy. Which is weird because it’s most commonly used to keep people awake. I was told this is actually a side effect that can happen, so I guess it just goes to show that everyone responds to medication differently.
I took something along the same name 3 yrs ago called armondofanil to help treat the same issue. I read online armondofanil is 1.33 times more potent than modafinil. Honestly, it gave me heart palpitations and made me feel very anxious and uneasy. In general, I am not a good medication taker, but everyone’s body is different. Hope this helps.
