For some reason i’m always still very hungry after breakfast. I’ve always eaten breakfast but I only feel full if I eat 2 eggs with something else like potatoes or bread. When I eat cereal/oatmeal with a banana I’m still hungry. I know that a lot of people don’t even eat breakfast or eat very little and are fine, so I’m not sure why I’m like this. I don’t want to eat eggs every day because i’ll get tired of it. What are some other breakfast ideas? I’m gluten and dairy free. I’m thinking maybe turkey bacon or gluten free bagel and dairy free cream cheese…

@shoe Thanks. I want to gain weight so I plan on drinking a smoothie shortly after breakfast in addition to it. I need to eat more and not miss lunch so the appetite suppressant wouldn’t be right for me

Try smoothies, protein shakes, soups, try looking up other cultures breakfasts. I am not a fan of American breakfasts, its just the same stuff over and over again. Or maybe ask or try appetite suppressant if your comfortable with that, one of my meds has that side effect and it really helps!

Most noticeable thing from what you said is that you feel fuller with protein whereas cereal and fruit definitely lacks a good amount. Smoothie is my go to- collagen peptides for protein, add fat (hemp seed oil, coconut, or macadamia nut oil), frozen fruit, add fiber (no blood sugar crash). If I need more carbs I’ll blend in some overnight oats. That stabilizes me and is easier than deciding what to eat. I mix up the fruit and oil variation to get more variety so I don’t get tired of it.

So, there’s lots of reasons you could still feel hungry even after eating. One thing that for some reason a lot of people don’t know: you might not be hungry. You could instead be dehydrated. So drink a large glass of water and see if you’re still hungry after that. Also if you have low blood sugar or for whatever reason there’s a drop in your blood sugar, even after eating a big meal you might feel hungry. To combat that, you just need to eat foods higher in protein, fiber & fat. Oatmeal, bean burritos, or lots of fruits and vegetables can solve that issue. Avocado too.
