I’ve found that opening up to those closest around me helps me carry this burden, and it’s so important to keep your doctor/medical team in the loop to let them know how you’re doing on the mental and emotional side; our conditions can take their toll on us, and we benefit greatly from this kind of support. Getting in to see a counselor specializing in people with chronic health issues is one of the best steps we can take to take care of ourselves!
yes, all the time. i get so mad that i have to take medication every day just to avoid bleeding inside. i hate getting colonoscopies, i hate feeling exhausted for no reason, and i hate not being able to trust my own body. i'm so sorry you're going through this too.
