Does anyone else experience a sort of ebb and flow of symptoms? One for me especially I’ve noticed is intrusive thoughts. Always there a little but I’ve had multiple periods over time where they are very frequent and almost constant, they make me like react physically and verbally. They are bad again. Is this normal?
I'd say yes, it's normal for symptoms to ebb and flow. My psychosis has usually come in giant 3-5 day episodes. I can recognize the thoughts that often lead to the episodes now, which I hope will help me head off episodes in the future. Maybe you can keep a journal of symptoms and thoughts to help you recognize if there's any pattern to the frequency such as life stress or not enough sleep.
