My TMJ pain started a few years ago. I stopped chewing gum and eating hard food like apples or peanuts, and I use a tooth protector when I sleep

I also stopped chewing gum and biting into large things like apples, large sub sandwiches, etc.

Talking too much makes me more sore at the end of the day. CBD also helps, especially a high strength balm applied directly on top of the TMJ. Only downside is the cost but very worth it if you can afford

Also using an airplane travel neck pillow helps when you’re in a lot of pain and can’t sleep. It relieves the pressure off your jaw and I just found it works for me after buying other TMJ specific pillows
