I’m currently having a flare up, i feel like my body was run over by an 18 wheeler. Everything from head to toe hurts and i feel so weak and nauseous. I usually get flare ups pretty often but this one is by far the worst in a while. any tips on pain?

Most people are staying this but heating or ice (everyone is different my fibro pain does better with heat some days and others i need an icepack). Napping with a heavy Blanket and having a brace on (arm brace, leg, ect) can help just relieve some of the pressure/pain your body is building, sitting even in a hot shower can help too! Tryna think about else. OH- sometimes tiger balm really helps with my pain, that's most for a certain one body part like arms or shoulders but you could give that a try (only on your outside body though). But mainly lying in bed/somewhere comfy and distracting yourself really helps time pass faster

Heating pads, some aromatherapy, hot peppermint tea, cold water (I usually do both and have the water in a insulated tumbler), watch feel good tv/movies, and it’s okay if you cry. Also, tell yourself that this is going to pass.

If you have the energy, a nice hot bath with bath salts and lavender is always very nice. It can be hard if you don’t have a comfortable tub, though. I tend to stick to Heating pads and comfy clothing for the discomfort, pedialyte and crackers (or other small, light snack) for nausea. I like to make sure I have all my comfort items nearby as well. That usually means a nice big blanket, my cats, and lots of pillows for support. I’m so sorry you’re flaring up right now. i hope it calms down soon ❤️
