Doctors need to be more educated on PCOS they give us diagnoses and then don’t tell you how to treat it other than what? Losing weight? I know how frustrating it is if there are any of you just being diagnosed trying to figure out how it can really affect you. Doctors saying one of the easiest ways to treat is weight loss is a whole different issues. PCOS can make it twice as hard to lose or keep a steady weight, and when I got diagnosed I wasn’t given any nutritional advice. Keep your heads up!
Oh geez! Yes! Weight loss is constantly preached as a solution for PCOS and it drives me nuts! I was having severe GI symptoms that resulted in me losing over 50 pounds…. I was praised for my weight loss by my providers but in reality I had precancer that was very very close to becoming stage one cancer! 🤦♀️
