Yah I think ADHD is good enough because it is on the spectrum . Or yes an umbrella term . Lots of people don't get diagnosed because they think oh I don't have those exact symptoms as they say you should have with ADHD. Attention and even anxiety and emotions are reasons for ADHD that aren't always talked about.

It seems to me that it has too many specific words that aren't specific enough. It may be too broad of a disorder to put under a one term umbrella. Maybe just Attention Disorder.

I believe the term is accurate enough. Don't see much of a point of changing it. Making it more specific may be too confusing, keeping it in plain language is important for the every-day-person to understand ^_^
It seems neruoatypical is the nicer word used for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder but that term doesn't apply exclusively to ADHD. If you want to be really cool you can say neurodiverse. As in, "All my friends wish they were neurodiverse like me." (to the tune of pussycat dolls). ๐๐๐

@Sunshineseeker90 I'm sorry if anyone finds that offensive. I also have ADHD. I immediately thought of silly names we can call it. ๐
