Heart palpitations and butterfly belly?? Tell me your experiences because my own experience causes impending doom and makes me think I’ll have a heart attack, which in turn makes me so unbelievably sad 😞 Also suffer with a tender upper back between my shoulders and chest pain!

@BrokenPotato hey! Thanks for responding, I have seen several doctors from the worry, they all tell me my chest and heart is fine… I have had blood tests for the following: Calcium Thyroid Diabetes Electrolytes Full blood count Kidney and liver All clear bar having pre diabetes, I have also had an ecg and chest x ray. I am currently under referral with a cardiologist who has done me an ecg, he has referred me for a spider flash device which I am waiting on and echocardiogram I am waiting on, but in his letter to me he did write ‘I have reassured Mrs I do not think this is cardiac related’ yet my mind does still not ease and I still worry😞❤️

Yes! That sounds like chronic hyperventilation to me and I have that when my anxiety is unchecked. It's a popular belief that hyperventilation is always quick, rapid, loud breathing, but /chronic/ hyperventilation which I have as well menifests as yawning and a feeling of not getting enough air. The opposite is true, though, the yawning and deep breathing make it worse since you already have too much oxygen. What helps me is to hold one nostril closed and only breath through the open one for a minute or so, that restricts the air and helps get rid of the urge to yawn.

This sounds indistinguishable from a panic attack to me. I get all of these symptoms very intensely pretty often due to panic disorder. It is always temporary though so I can find comfort in knowing that next time it happens I am not dying, I'm just having a panic attack.

@Motley do you have any ideas on my breathing too for my most recent post? Everyone says anxiety and panic but I just can’t accept something like that would make me feel this way, to be so uncomfortable in my body!😩

Butterfly belly kind of feeling for me is a panic attack. I think my heart palpitations are because of stress, but if you’re worried then I’d book an appointment with the doctor to ease your mind at the very least! 💕

@JadeyBb that sounds very extensive and exhausting. Could it be possible that you have really bad panic attacks and it’s related to that? 💕
