I set reminders on my phone to tell me positive things about myself it’s helpful I think I also put sticky notes all over my car saying how much God loves me it really helped 🤗

I journal. Over the winter I went through a depression spell that for two months I wouldn't get out of bed. This was right before my meds changed. But, I journaled... A LOT! And with journaling you can "word vomit" as much as you want. Also, I did art stuff. The adult coloring books are fantastic. I would put the ones I did in my journal. Later I looked over the adult coloring book pages, and noticed the color changes from my deep depression to when the new med took effect. Another thing, I see a therapist. One more thing I do (sorry this just flashed in my mind), I call it belief bombs. You take something you say/do that is negative change it around to a positive, write the positive down and keep it close so you can see and read it often. An example.... Negative: I cant cook. Positive: Reading directions and recipes will make me a better at cooking.

Anything that gets you out of your own head for a little bit is a good thing. My main coping mechanism used to be snack treats, but I found the joy from that rarely lasted unless it was paired with a more distracting thing like a walk in the park. My new go to is to put on a comfort movie or play a game that I've been excited for (even if I don't feel excited right now) or read a book. Just something that gets your mind focused on things that are so separate from yourself you give your brain a break

try and find a project or maybe something around the house to keep your mind busy, spring cleaning, fixing something, pamper your self once a day with something nice like a warm bubble bath, candles. a good movie.

Oh I forgot my best new trick which is to put on something cute/clothes you love. Honestly it's become my go to response to noticing I'm depressed and it immediately boosts my mood because I enjoy what I'm looking at and also feel like I accomplished something even if that's all I can do for myself that day

Soft hugs. It hurts when you're put out of routine. Speedy recovery.
