relating to characters helps me through my depression. I like Fight Club, Matilda, White Oleander and Frozen. the movies and books are good. For television I would recommend seeing the Simpsons episodes Moaning Lisa and Lisa's Substitute. What do you relate to?

matilda was really good! not only entertaining but the feeling of being ignored by family definitely hits home

I do the same thing! I relate VERY much to the representation of PTSD and depression in the fantasy novel "A Court of Mist and Fury" (affectionately nicknamed ACOMAF) by Sarah J. Maas; it's actually the second book in her A Court of Thorns and Roses series, but the narrator/protagonist's struggle with the aftermath of a terribly traumatic experience is really, really well-rendered (as is, in point of fact, the similar struggles of the protagonist's love interest). I have others, too, and this one is my favorite to revisit.
