Anyone else find that their autism and depression seem to feed off eachother making it that much harder to even try and get to a better place?

Being autistic and unable to convey regular neurotypical social cues does cause a lot of distress and sadness for me. Autism doesn't play nice with other conditions and not all of it is well documented. I totally understand, and go through a similar thing. Social things don't go well because of autism Depression pulls me away from them Start thinking it's me who's unable to fit in because I'm just too different to other people because of my autism-- You're definitely not alone with this cycle.

Yes it kind of works with each other to make it seem impossible to become better some days I literally can't do anything but be in bed

One user mentioned that having BPD and autism is like holding a lighter next to oil, as they trigger each other often. They explained that extreme mood swings can exhaust them and trigger their autism, making it difficult to manage both conditions simultaneously.
