Hello everyone! My anxiety has been constant and rarely goes away unless I'm doing crafts (crochet, drawing, making punk patches) and I've been thinking about playing some games to calm me down. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for games to play that calm you down? I have a Nintendo switch (also have animal crossing but haven't played in awhile) and a gaming computer!
Sorry to butt into someone else's thread here lol but I forgot to mention Flow Free! Love that funky little puzzle game, I've been playing it for years
I don't have a switch but my friend does and he really enjoys Spiritfarer! It's a beautiful game similar to Animal Crossing where you play as a ferryman helping spirits (rep'd by animals) to cross over into the afterlife by helping them feel comfortable physically and emotionally. You are in charge of a funky little boat. I've been told it can get pretty heart wrenching when the characters pass on and leave the game so be mindful of that
I've heard good things about Stray as well bc,, ya know, open world cat game <3
In terms of phone apps, personally I play Solitaire, a word game called Word Cookies, and Subway Surfers when I need to turn my brain off. I also used to play some tap tap games like Abyssrium (pretty and soothing sea creatures) and Terraium: Garden Idle (pretty plants!!) which are always calming
I've seen people on switch play Spiritfarer and it does look fun! I get super attached and emotional with games tho so idk if I should play it :c I also have been watching Jacksepticeye play Stray and I love it, might have to buy it myself someday! I actually just downloaded Abyssrium the other day and I love it so far. I'll have to look at Word Cookies too. Thank you so much for your suggestions! :3
On my phone I have a couple apps that calm me down. One is called happy color and the other is called puzzles. When I'm anxious my hands tend to get restless, so I found that tapping my phone and focusing on creating something pretty helps distract me and eventually calms me down. š¤
Final Fantasy XIV (14) online is really good. It can be play on computer, PS4, PS5, and soon to be on steam deck. It is an MMORPG. You can play free upto lvl 60 and Heavens Ward.
I've been interested in playing in playing that game and I never knew it was free up to lvl 60! I will definitely need to play that. Also I had no clue steam deck was a thing :0 I just looked it up and omg I want one so bad now! I have a sucky chair so playing for hours on my computer makes my back hurt a lot! Being able to play my steam games anywhere sounds amazing. Thank you so much for your suggestions! :)
your welcome. It's my favorite game. I started out on Playstation and then I went steam and never looked back. I'll be back online after Friday. I'm Serenity Relena online.
Hay day! Itās nice to have right on your phone. A little game to play through the day to take care of your animals and farm. I play that alot when I need to calm down.
