Zoloft is different for everyone. What works for one person may not work for another. After saying that, it made my depresión significantly worse. It’s a process of finding what works best for you. Some people don’t process SSRIs well (not sure if Zoloft is one of them). Just don’t go into it with any expectations and see how it works for YOU. best of luck, I do hope it helps you.
I don't really respond to psych meds, but zoloft was the first med I tried and it really took the edge off! Before starting it, I felt like I was physically dying 24/7. Most of my physical symptoms went away when starting it :)
I did get nauseous for the first day or two when increasing doses, but it was tolerable.
I would say if you notice within a month any sort of positive difference that it’s the right one to stay on! But I would look out for side effects. For me, the side effects were too unpleasant. My psychiatrist said the worst I should have to settle for as far as antidepressant side effects go should be stomach aches every once and a while. She switched me to a different medication and now that’s the only side effect I get (nauseous if I don’t eat before taking it). I hope zoloft works for you! I know a lot of people who have had a lot of success on it and have taken it for years.
