my bipolar disorder surfaced very early, around when i just turned 14 y/o. when i say surfaced i mean hit me like a truck, full blown, intense manic episode including insane delusions that lasted almost half a year. i wanna know when other ppls bipolar surfaced? did anyone else get symptoms as early as me? it worries me because the average is like in your 20s…. so does that mean it’s just gonna get like way worse the older i get?

I had my first episode of depression at 10 years old, complete with unaliving ideation. I was dxed at 19, though I lived with it for years prior. I'm in my 40s now, have been stable on meds for almost 20 years. It is possible to live a normal life with bipolar. Sending love.
The nature of it is yes, it gets worse as you get older. How fast varies from person to person. For me, VERY fast. First manic episode was when i was probably 14 or 15. Now i get severe psychosis. If you need a friend you can message me 💜
@DitsyDiabetic thank you!!
