I feel like all my progress is lost. I’ve worked on mental health for years. I feel like I’m back to the place I was in middle school. It’s like all the work I put in meant nothing and I’m still just as messed up as I was back then. I did so well for years or at least better but now it’s back to the same shit. I feel like I’ve failed and idk if there’s a chance to get better anymore.

I think that even if you feel like you've lost progress, you made that progress in the first place, which means you can do it again. Recovery isn't linear and you will always deserve recovery

I understand this feeling a lot. I think what helped me is understanding that the world will keep going but that’s okay. There is no race. You will get to where you need when the time is ready. Sometimes the best thing you can do is survive. Take some time to breathe. Self care goes a long long way. Meditate, take a bath, make a warm meal, draw, watch TV. Whatever you enjoy, take a night to do so. You have made it so far. Some days will be harder than others. The world needs you. I recently ruined 3 years of being clean personally. There are moments where our past takes us for a spin, but that’s what it is, the past. You will be okay, you will prevail. And it’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to seek therapy or doctors. You are going to be loved no matter it all. Please feel free to reach out to me if you feel comfortable. I hope some of my words could be helpful to you. You are important. You are needed. It’s okay to make mistakes, it doesn’t mean you’re a mistake; and it doesn’t mean that everything you’ve worked for is useless. You made it so far already, you can do it again
