I'm currently struggling with a tic disorder, in the past few months I have developed a motor tic where I slam my fist in to anything below, I will end up with small bruises. I hate going out into public because of how many people stare at me when one of my tics goes off. it had started causing me to be more depressed in my day to day life and idk what to do anymore.

It’s not very practical, but I’ve considered carrying a small cushion with me for when my more harmful motor tics happen. Ticcing in public is never fun. I’ve found that the best ways to deal with unwanted attention from tics are either to do your best to ignore them and remind yourself that they’re uneducated jerks (not easy, I know) or stare back/laugh about it. I’m sorry things have been difficult lately. I hope you’re having a good day. <3
I also take clonidine for mine
How often does it happen? What does it feel like? The only thing you can do is change your mindset. They’re weird if they make judgements about your character from an inoffensive tic
