I have never been comfortable calling my physical and vocal twitches “tics” due to the fact that I can suppress them in situations where I am nervous or need to be quiet, even if the physical subconscious urge to twitch is still present. Does anyone else with physical and vocal tics only experience them while alone or when relaxed/comfortable?

I do! It happens quite often actually! The physical tics, is what would be more stimming and there is a thing called echolalia that, basically much like a stim in my case, it's repeating a sound you hear that can maybe soothe yourself with, it can also be, front what I've heard to be a want to listen to a certain thing and in my case it's certain parts in songs!
