I recently went to a dermatologist and got told I could be a carrier for the CFTR gene mutation (cystic fibrosis) for Aquagenic Wrinkling of the palms but am also being evaluated for EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and am not sure whether or not my current cough is related to maybe that possible CF or just some GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) from either one. Either way, I am getting either evaluated or genetic tested in January at a special care clinic with Childrens (I am 17) and will be asking for a CF test or trying to ask for one. Anyone else have had either or both of these tests? If so, did insurance cover it? And if not was it pretty expensive?
