Hi! So I’m going to be 5 years seizure free soon. I recently got off zonisamide in November, and this September my neurologist wants to possibly take me off Keppra as well. It scares me because Keppra is the only thing that really helping me right now. I also take lamotragine as well but that doesn’t really help because I have grand mals, so I really want to keep Keppra around. What are the chances of withdrawal seizures if I were to stop taking Keppra?

They would take you off it slowly and provide medication to prevent withdrawal symptoms. After 5 years seizure free neurologists will normally try and take you off medications.
