Any pointers on keeping quiet about how bad you feel? I need to learn to pretend more about it. The less I can do the worse I feel. The more it gets pointed out. In between hearing how much... care's about me. Was hoping to bring joy here, but finding it hard to attain myself. My faith is melting quickly.

Spritkitty...don't lose hope. That's the depression talking. The pain is persistent I know. Call someone if you feel alone. Personally my pain journey has alienated most of the people I care about the most. Yes people don't want to hear you're hurting. They don't understand. But we do here! Please know you are not alone...

💕 Thanks Lolita for sharing this with me here. I'm happy you have had supportive folks around you 🙂. Many especially work situations aren't so compassionate and giving. I read this first thing in morning, coffee ☕ and eye balls still foggy. I didn't know what to say and thought about it during the day. I've struggled with pain for years, and got flack for complaining. Even from people who love me and want to see me better. I've had to hide being disabled at many job's and worked just as hard as most men! Now that I'm ugh older, people got their own pain and just accept it. And don't want to be hearing about someone's pain! It turns into a competition with each team swearing they are the worse off! Just trying to make some kind of peace with this S**t!

Why would you keep it quiet? When I started to suffer from fibro i went to the toilets and shouted to my elbow when i suffered from pain. My boss heard about it from my colleagues and told me that i don’t need to hide my pain anymore. It was a relief.

@Lolita because there are discrimination regarding chronic illness or disability.
