My condition isn’t severe yet but typically how quickly does the condition progress before treatment?

I was assaulted at my last job in 2009. It ruptured two discs. I finally agreed to surgery in June 3, 2013. On July 4, 2013, one month later, I was rear-ended by a local fireman who was late for the parade. He was 18 years old. The apparatus in my lower back shifted position. My surgeon said "let's wait and see". 2017 the pain got worse. Unfortunately, my surgeon moved to the southern US. I live with pain everyday. Not only in my back, but every lower spine nerve. Everything is hypersensitive. I can't walk more than 1000ft at a time. I can't exercise to lose weight. I can't work and am considered totally disabled. I'm 49 and it just keeps getting a little worse everyday.

Mine progressed rather quickly. I was having pain in July 2013 and finally diagnosed in 2015. Through this time I underwent many operations and it advanced from having a core decompression around March 2014 to having femoral head collapse and needing a hip replacement in July 2015 at 15 years old.

I’m in the same place, I just got my diagnosis of necrosis in my hips and knees and I’m in my early 30s so the doctors won’t do anything yet. They have put me on a protocol of MRI the areas every 6 months to watch the progression and obviously if the pain starts to get worse. It’s a very frustrating disease.

Ok , when first discovered my chiropractor thought I was ok but I fell on the ball joint and it started to die off . They presented the procedure to inject bone cement which they did . I’m tough and it failed . My other hip was the same . I saw a hip surgeon which told me I have plenty of carledge . Told me to continue using diglovanac (voltaren) gel and that would buy me time . Probably for ever I’m 66 . Unfortunately pain is part of what I deal with . I have heart and diabetic pain . I go to gym and work hard . As far as time , I would have opted for hip replacement up front and especially if you have the fight to rehab well . Truly , only you know when pain is too much . Bone on bone means your already late Regards and good luck
