Maybe it’s because my parents are religious and really strict but they say that i cannot move out unless i get married. And this upsets me because i want to be independent and live on my own but every time i talk to my mother about it she says that if i leave i will disappoint her and that she will never want to see or speak to me again. I understand why she feels the way she does but i don’t think she should limit me and kind of keep me captive at home my whole life just because she feels like it is what’s best.

Honestly, especially if your PTSD is from your parents, the best thing for you would be to move out. She can make whatever choices she'll make, you can't control that. But you can make the choice that will make you the happiest and safest. In addition, waiting until marriage to move out puts you in a very dangerous and dependent position and at higher risk for DV.
