Hi there are ways to ground to keep from dissociation usually grounding exercises that distract the mind help such as playing buzz fizz with yourself/selves or someone else with buzz fizz you count but say buzz for 5 and multiples of 5 then say fizz for 7 and multiples of 7 and the game gets harder as you go... another thing that could work for others is to hold ice or some sensory object I know for us holding ice does not work it just makes us dissociate more but it can help if you struggle with self harm... Also we don't agree with the top that sounds very toxic to say they're assuming you aren't religious because you have the disorder and even if you aren't that's a very bad thing to say to someone who is struggling and sounds extremely condescending truth is you can't pray this disorder away it does not work that way children can have it and not know they have it but also be religious just like we were and we still have this disorder because its not gonna go away that easily... so I call bs on that so we recommend you try the grounding exercises and look up more grounding exercises to see what you find also our friend has a discord server called "Coping Skillz" we are admins in that server you don't talk in the server we just share skills to cope for other people you can message us if you want to be invited to that server

@LabyrinthGarden I'm glad you feel the same about the first comment, integrating sounds like our nightmare. We're polyfragmented with 350+ alters and it would be quite literally impossible to integrate us all, plus i was raised with a lot of religious trauma and would rather die than turn to Christianity of all things as it was one of the things that caused our splits. Also our first time hearing about the buzz fizz game, I'm going to try this with my partner or between alters next time I'm having a really bad time.
