i get so anxious when he’s gone. what’s he doing, who’s he with, why isn’t he home yet. it annoys him but that just makes me even more anxious

I just work, just to distract me but it helps a bit

Find a distraction. Watch a show you like, do a hobby, etc. Something that requires enough of your attention that you won't worry as much
