Advice for My Younger Self with Bipolar Disorder

Don't blindly let the doctors decide. When I started doing my own research and keeping track of how I responded, and telling the doctors I wouldn't take certain things, it got better. In my case, SSRI's make me more depressed and suicidal, but for some reason doctors kept putting me on different SSRI's until I finally realized they were all in the same class of drugs and refused to take them.
