What do any of you do when existential angst and ennui (for lack of a better word) rob you of all motivation and make you completely apathetic, like there’s just no point anymore? My self-care doesn’t even come close to making this ever-present feeling disappear. And it’s been going on for years! Weekly therapy and medication (both for decades; nonstop) are of no help any longer. I don’t have children and my careers have gone sideways… so very little to no joy enters my life. Suggestions? …Or even hearing that one other person has this dreadful level of depression (without active SI, thank goodness) would help. It’s very much beyond depression; it’s like it’s its own monster. 😔😑😒 Thanks.
