I am 21F, I've been on inflectra for a year now and since starting this medication I gain about 30 to 40 lbs, im 150 now and I used to be a double zero, since this weight gain, no matter how much I exercise and eat right, I cant lose a single pound and it's really made me hate myself. I dont really know how to cope with this. I was diagnosed about 6 years ago and my journey has really been a struggle and I feel like this was like the frosting on the cake.

I am also a full time student and I work a full time job, I am a criminal justice major and I used to be in the army so I guess the weight thing is also hindering what I want to do for a living which adds to the stress of it all.

I haven’t had this experience with this medication (as I haven’t been on it …. Yet) but I have had several medications that have added on pounds, that just don’t come off. I was just average, not underweight or anything, but I gained 40-50 lbs causing an obese diagnosis, which now causes several doctors to not take me seriously, constant looks, and false pregnancy congrats. It’s insane how rude people are and how much it messes with your mind. Therapy has helped me a lot personally, but I can fully agree that the stress of life plus the toxicity of others can really put a strain on you mentally, and make you lose hope on getting any better. …. I just wanted to share so you know that you aren’t alone.
