so.... baxk in December I got put on beta blockers. within 3 days I have was having adverse reactions, and I stopped taking them. 2 days layer I got covid. my cardiologist wouldn't listen to me when I said that they gave me adverse reactions and made me start taking them again. well what do you know 3 days in and mynasthma is severely worsened. I'm feeling labored breathing with each breath etc etc. and so I call him today, and he tells me to stop taking them and that he's not going to put me on another one right now. I told him I didn't want it. I asked him if there were any other options. I'm just so frustrated

@Bellea606 sorry to hear that. Meds are weird with me. Ive had terrible reactions to 3 different types of beta blockers when i tried them 30 years ago. One excited the tremor (being able to feed myself is essential). One caused such short of breath that my normal walk to my car required stopping 3 times to hyperventilate. Problems went away with Calan (even with 2x normal dose) and helped the 'wonderful' new migraines (yuk). Anyway, Metoprolol now (again high dose, 6x more than my heart bypass husband), and relatively little problem

Ask about Calcium channel blockers. I was on Calan 30 years ago. Think it was a milder version of POTS that time (pressure surges with up/down movements caused migraines). No side effects and significantly helped.
