Does MG affect the way you look?

@Tash19 I had bloodwork for achr and anti-striated muscle receptors, both were negative. They also ruled out my thyroid (making sure not thyroid eye disease, bloodwork all normal). I went to an optometrist as well and had images taken of the inside of my eye to see if they could see a cause for the intermittent blurry vision, but my exam was normal and I only needed reading glasses. My PCP told me to ask the neurologist when I see her at the end of next week for a single fiber electrode test and to check and see if I'm sero-negative. I still have to look up some of these meanings because I'm still learning what everything means!

I haven't been diagnosed yet, still in testing phases but all of my symptoms point towards MG. I will say that my face has changed and looks worse on different days, like my eyes are half closed and my cheeks are sagging. My family has commented that I look more depressed even on days where I'm feeling upbeat.

There is no direct information provided in the context about MG affecting one's appearance. Myasthenia gravis primarily causes muscle weakness and fatigue, which may indirectly impact a person's overall well-being but not necessarily their physical appearance.
