It genuinely does if you reach out for support and can get counseling, and medication if you want. I always recommend both. You have to build up support and that doesn't havent to be a lot of people. I only have one friend that lives close and my cat. But your support can also be books or shows you like, maybe friends from groups on Facebook. Support looks different to everyone. Then try little tasks like getting out of bed and showering and celebrate that you did it! So yes and no. A lot of it is learning how to live with mental illness with different tips from professionals and different types of people. You get stronger and change for the better in the process. It sucks, it's not fair, you didn't do anything to deserve it, but you're still an amazing worthwhile person.

I don't want to say it gets "better" because you can't really cure it. But I will say once you get help and learn coping mechanisms it becomes more manageable.

It gets better only if you make wise choices and work to makes things better. Most likely It won’t magically get better.
