      @BrookeAlyse you and me both… I was diagnosed at birth with congenital neutropenia. Not sure how or why!!! I am eager to know where you are in your stage of neutropenia? I just turn 40yrs and I was recently diagnosed with myelofibrosis 😢 I’m scheduled to have a bone marrow biopsy to see the stage!

      I also know that chemo & radiation cause people to become neutropenic, but that neutropenia isn’t chronic. It’s medicine induced neutropenia. I don’t know much about leukopenia

      All that I have been told is that it is genetic. But my doctors don’t know what caused mine because they have never been able to find my mutated gene. Quite a bit of people with congenital neutropenia have the ELANE mutation. I’m one of the few who have had neutropenia since birth but don’t have the ELANE mutation.

      Could be genetic. Autoimmune related. Radiation from cancer treatments. Bone marrow issues. Mines autoimmune related
