What medications or holistic treatment options have you found to help the most? What daily routines do you need to maintain to help you feel the best? Is it possible to hold a stable job/income while managing chronic illness? I don’t know how to balance health, personal goals, career, family life and social life all at once🥲

Basically I try to reduce incoming stress by maintaining boundaries with people and my job. I choose my battles and engagements carefully. I realized that you can't "put off" an episode or feeling exhausted, etc. It's quicker to just take a break or nap and THEN try to go on. If people in your life act like it's a huge inconvenience that you need to lay down right now then tell them it's this or hospital... You'll let them choose but they gotta drive you and pay for your bills. <3 You have to protect yourself first. No one else is going to. THEN you will know when you can go out and have some fun.

I would ask about metoprolol! I noticed a difference rather quickly
Exercise is what has made my POTS so much better! I tried everything. I went to so many doctors, one of whom told me I would only get 50% back to normal at best and would likely not work full time. The final doctor I went to told me to just walk and walk everyday. I started slowly and brief periods (and even had someone walk with me initially). I worked up to 3-4 miles a day and my HR and other symptoms are so much better. I have a very stressful job, and I work a lot. I’m able to hold what is the equivalent of two full time jobs, and I thought I was going to have to go on disability when I was diagnosed a few years ago. I am also off all medicines now. Don’t give up! Something will work for you!

The medication that has been a game changer for me is Fludrocortizone.
@JennyPenny exactly this. Boundaries and preserving energy and sticking to what you know you need. Other people’s lack of care or understanding can’t interfere with that.
