I have to read 213 pages for one of my classes. the scans are bad and I can barely read them, even with my glasses. it is so daunting and I feel like I can't do it.

Bro I had 105 pages for one class two weeks ago and couldn't do it. They're all pdfs but only some of them are OCRed/text and I have a text to speech thing from disabilities as accommodation but it messes up on formatting by trying to read page numbers and messing up on diagrams etc and doesn't even pronounce words correctly sometimes it's honestly just as much effort to read it myself. I initially said I'd try it to read while it's speaking it to stay focused on it but it would only help if it was as natural as a real person, like a recording. You can try that with either text to speech programs or with a friend or disability services or other things I've thought of are reading out loud (because audio retains attention longer than visuals) but atm I'm having to just skim readings or just sit down with my phone put up and just power through it maybe an hour at a time. Take breaks though so you don't burn yourself out and be sure to reward yourself with each small section because I heard that's important. If you find a way to stay focused through all of the reading, or a better way to skim (because they assign way more reading than should ever be allowed regardless of adhd or disabilities) please let me know because I am struggling with the exact same thing atm!

@FlyingLizards Honestly, I'm planning on skimming just enough to do a discussion post on it and giving up

@SoxyWoxy yeah I just have to come up with 4 questions, which doesn't sound like a lot, but I'm bad at skimming and the whole "read the first and last sentence of every Paragraph" is usually the whole paragraph anyway or it takes just as long to find them as to read them. My problem is mostly that its so boring and uninteresting that my brain goes literally anywhere else. How do you skim?
